A moorish and rich Pale Ale, this is our session beer. Easy to drink, three malted grains and two hops make this a lovely complex drink. To celebrate our gorgeous dog, Marmaduke, or Duke to friends and family, making the front cover of Country Life! What a superstar... just like this popular beer!
50 Not Out 4.5%
Our traditional Amber bitter. A little stronger than a typical session ale, but we have had a few sessions on this one and we turned out alright. Named for Uncle Chris and Aunty Jen on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, truly 50 years and "not out" cheers!
Colonel Bob 4%
This is not a shy beer, fruity, rich with a kick of bitterness to clear the pallet for the next sip. An ode to "Colonel Bob" who helped with many a beer tasting...
Penton Porter 6%
This is a deep rich and subtle porter. Five different grains and two different hops go into making this the beer it is. Our signature Porter named after all those who lugged the luggage around the house many years ago... and it's also a Porter!
A traditional IPA. Unlike your modern IPAs this low ABV bitter, is very easy on the pallet, super smooth, fruity, with a lovely hedgerow fruit/blackcurrant noes. Named Hastings after Warren Hastings whoes Private Secretary George Nesbitt Thompson lived at Penton Park - we like to think the IPA started here.
